Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Responsible for maintaining, building, and protecting the 2,100-mile long Appalachian Trail.
Green Mountain Club: Protecting the Long Trail and Vermont's Green Mountains since 1910.
Randolph Mountain Club: RMC has been maintaining trails, campsites, cabins and lean-tos in the northern White Mountains for years. Nice, grassroots feel to this club.
Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests: Protecting New Hampshire's natural landscapes since the early 1900s. Key player in establishing the White Mountain National Forest and protecting Mount Monadnock, among others achievements.

Random Group of Hikers (Meetup hiking group). My favorite hiking Meetup group. Professional, friendly, trustworthy.
Redline Guiding: Pro hiking guide service, local to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Several of my good friends work for Redline Guiding. Specializes in regular and off the beaten path adventures.
SectionHiker.com: Philip Werner's longstanding hiker's blog. Great resource for White Mountains trip reports (trails and bushwhacking), gear reviews, advice and guidance, etc, with many years of accumulated arcana.
TrailsNH.com: The ultimate trail conditions resource, TrailsNH captures "every hiking trip report, trail advisory, and forest road closing in the Northeast" drawing from hiking forums, blogs, meteorology sources, etc. Masterminded by Kimball Rexford.
